Myspace

Why I hate myspace:

-Spam mostly. I don't want to be your friend. Unless you know me and I feel comfortable to swear around you!! hahahahaha.

-I can't post pics very well on there without wasting a crap load of my time making them smaller.

-All the different pages. I like some personalization, but mostly uniformity!! Seriously - I hate the pages that I can't read and take FOREVER to start up. LAME

-The advertisements on myspace are especially lame. Seriously, I have a degree already, no I don't want to find out if I'm fat, I don't care what is on tv tonight, and I definitely don't care who the rapper/tv star/celebutant is behind the glasses.

- It seems like myspace has gotten 10x slower than it used to be before the "change over".

- AND it seems like there is at least 1-5 links that NEVER work or take 5 times of going back and forth to actually get to the site...

Although I do hate all of these things about myspace, I do still check it everyday. However, I am considering giving up on myspace and switching over completely to Facebook!!! hahahahaha
No really...

I almost went vegetarian...

Lord knows that I have seen my fair share of meat through my short life. And I have been around several individuals who eat vegetarian or vegan. As those people know, I have much respect and admiration for them because I have absolutely no will power. I like the way meat tastes and I'm too lazy to be picky about what I eat. Oh, and I really like sushi.

However, my husband and I went to Costco yesterday, and we wandered over to their meat department. Normally we do not buy meat at Costco because we don't eat that much meat. But we thought we might be able to get a better price and be able to freeze a large amount so we didn't have to keep going grocery shopping (different time, different blog: grocery shopping). I became sick to my stomach looking at all of that meat. I hate raw meat, and I hate looking at meat. But I'll eat it. But seeing all of that meat, made me question my own eating habits. Everytime I make anything that's not fish, I question it. Do I really want to eat something that was treated badly and pumped full of hormones? Hmm, I don't know. Is that weird? A lot of people would say ABSOLUTELY NOT - but I don't know. I had a grandma that had a farm, and there was a really cute baby calf named Buttercup. I liked to play with Buttercup. Then, a few months later we went back to grandma's and had dinner. When we arrived, I asked what we were having dinner. Her reply was "Buttercup". So - I guess I was exposed early to eating animals that I had played with as pets.

I always make excuses as to why I'm not vegetarian or vegan:

1. I'm too lazy to watch what I eat all of the time

2. I have no self control. When I'm hungry I want to eat right now. I don't want to wait.

3. Sometimes a nice steak tastes DAMN good.

So my conclusion, I'm thinking that I won't be a vegetarian or vegan but I will do my best to eat meat in moderation.

The problem with making spaghetti...

I'll admit right now that I am not a cook. I like to make things in the microwave, or go out to eat. I like eating out because I don't have to do anything except decide what I want. I also like to have a selection, and going out to eat provides that. HOWEVER - being newly weds and owning a new home, not to mention bills, we are unable to eat out as much as I would like. So, I have forced myself to learn to cook. I don't mind it too much because I can pretty much just zone out while I'm doing it and think about my day. The part I hate the most is cleaning up, mostly POTS. I hate cleaning pots and pans. And there are certain things that I make that are just delicious, but I'm scared to stray from what I know. One thing I can make that is easy is spaghetti. Meat, Sauce, Noodles - how hard can it be? For some reason, I can never get the amounts right. I either make too many noodles or too much sauce. EVERY time I make it, I get it wrong. So then we end up with left over meat sauce in the refrigerator. And then you say, "make more noodles." So, I make more noodles and then I have too many noodles in the refrigerator. I can't wait until the money starts coming in again and I can start eating out.....

This is my new niece, Savannah Marie Cook. HOW CUTE! Check out those cheeks. She is a very good baby, not a lot of crying but lots of drooling and smiling. Check out her onesie:

The Family Tree

So, I will preface this blog by saying that it may come off bitchy, rude and ungrateful. Now it being Thanksgiving and all, I should be writing about things that I appreciate. However, I have only begun to realize the things that I am not grateful for. I understand that family is blood and that you should always appreciate family. But I often question if I am adopted. Not that I think that I'm better than my family, but I just wonder where all of their brain cells went. I just don't feel like I know them at all. I've spent 23 years with these people and I still don't know them. I don't know how they think, why they think that way, or who they are. A part of me blames them but another part of me blames myself. I have conditioned myself to be annoyed every time I am around them. But there is some desire to get to know them, as people.
A part of me is very grateful that I do have them in my life, because they do keep me normal.
