Coffee Snob

I never thought this would happen to me...

I have turned into a coffee bitch. It's true. I have truly turned into that picky girl in front of you at the coffee shop that has a long list of how her coffee needs to be made. Dammit.

I began my coffee experience when I was around 16 years old. My friend in high school, Britney, took me to a coffee shop and ordered me a mocha cappuccino. It took a little bit of getting used to, but after my third time trying it, I was hooked. I then began to frequent coffee shops in the downtown area and I would order a tall mocha cappuccino, every time. I became a regular and whenever I would go to a certain shop, they would pretty much already have my drink made by the time I got to the front of the line to pay.

I went to one coffee shop and was talking to the barista, and I told him that I had never tried anything besides my mocha cappuccino. He said, "Well let me make you something" I agreed with the stipulation that it be sweet and doesn't taste like coffee. And he made me a Vanilla Latte. I fell in love with it, and then began getting vanilla latte's from there.

In the summer of 2003, I was on vacation on was unable to drink Vanilla Latte's. I was taught by a roommate how to drink "regular coffee". I filled it with extra sugar and creamer. I spent two weeks drinking "regular" coffee. With no latte's.

Since then I have tried several coffee drinks and I always go back to my vanilla latte's. And I have realized exactly how I like my vanilla latte. This morning I found myself saying these words to drive up Starbucks:

"Grande 6 pump vanilla latte with skim milk and no foam"

No pillows

I've decided that sleeping in the front seat of my car is better than sleeping anywhere else. I love it. I feel more comfortable, safe and I can just listen to my music and chill. I enjoy it. And it's nice when I have been working in the morning and I have two hours before I have to be in class. Instead of going to the library and doing my homework (who the hell does that anyway), I just sleep in my car and have a nice nap. I wake up feeling refreshed, with a red face and fuzzy hair.
I also think it's funny because I can only imagine what people are thinking as they walk by. Or the other cars that think I am pulling out and I'm not. They probably get pretty pissed off.
I pretty much sleep in my car at least twice a week. So if you're ever in the parking lot at Westminster College, look for me in my brown Camry.

However- let me still say that sleeping in my bed with my husband will beat sleeping in my car any day!!
